June 2009: One of Lana’s corporate history book subjects, ABC Recycling (Family Metal, Echo Memoirs, 2007), is featured as the cover story in Family Business Magazine. Lana wrote the pitch that enticed the magazine to feature this BC success story.

March 19, 2009: Vancouver Sun business writer Malcolm Parry features Lana’s latest Echo Memoirs book, You Got That Right: The Story of Wendy McDonald and BC Bearing Engineers, in his regular column (scroll to bottom of column for the Wendy McDonald segment).

March 16, 2009: Lana passes the first exam, copy editing, in the Editors’ Association of Canada’s certification program.

March 6, 2009: Lana is selected to copy edit and proofread the catalogue for the Vancouver Art Gallery’s How Soon Is Now exhibition.

January 26, 2009: Lana is part of the team selected to prepare a detailed guidance document for the Emissions Offsets Regulation governing the BC Government’s Greenhouse Gas Reductions Target Act. Lana will act as the editor of the document.

January 10, 2009: Lana’s latest Echo Memoirs book, You Got That Right: The Story of Wendy McDonald and BC Bearing Engineers, is published.

December 5, 2008: Launch of Investors-Aid Guide to Protecting Investment Returns, by Garth Rustand. Lana edited this consumers’ guide to investing outside the conventional investment advisory industry.

October 31, 2008: Lana is selected to co-coordinate and proofread the catalogue for the Vancouver Art Gallery’s exhibition of Dutch Masters.

September 14, 2008: Launch of Butchers, Bakers & Building the Lakers: Voices of Collingwood, by Christine Cowley. Lana copy edited and indexed this wonderful local history told mostly by long-time Collingwood residents.

May 2008: Lana’s feature article, “A New Deal”, is published in BC Business.
